Welcome to vom Haus Ledda German Shepherd Dogs!

We're Rita and Adrian. This site is our tribute to the German Shepherd Dog and to the many people who share our love of the breed.

In 1974, our first German Shepherd Dog entered our lives .... and since that time we have found ourselves....our time....and our lives....consumed by this remarkable breed.

Our goal is to breed sound German Shepherd Dogs that conform to the German Shepherd Dog Club of Germany (SV) standard. We strive to breed dogs that will be excellent companions, which can do search and rescue work, therapy work, schutzhund sport, agility, police work, etc.. First and foremost however, we want the dogs that we breed to be much loved lifetime companions for caring people.

We've been working toward the above goals since 1981, showing our dogs in schutzhund sport competitions, show ring, AKC tracking and obedience and other canine sports and activities....and ultimately breeding 25 litters of German Shepherd puppies over the years.

Our home base is in California, and we often travel with our dogs from one coast to the other and all points in between to participate in regional and national Schutzhund, AKC, and conformation events. We also travel and compete internationally. You may read about this in the pages that follow.

It's always a pleasure to see our friends from around the world who share our deep love of the breed, and especially to cross paths with the extended vom Haus Ledda family. These are the best reunions of all - reminiscing with all the special people who have brought vom Haus Ledda puppies into their homes and families over the years. Some of these good friends are enjoying canine companions from one vom Haus Ledda generation to the next!

You'll also learn a little bit about the males and females we've chosen over the years to help build our breeding program.
